HRGP (Heparin-Related Glycoprotein) is a class of glycoproteins involved in blood coagulation and cell adhesion processes. These proteins, through interaction with heparin-like molecules, affect the interactions between the extracellular matrix and cells. Members of the HRGP family have various structural compositions, including multiple heparin-binding domains, and are primarily located in vascular endothelial cells and certain immune cells. They play roles in regulating inflammation, wound healing, and tumor metastasis. The expression of HRGP genes is tissue-specific, and their expression levels and functional mutations are closely associated with the development of various diseases, such as vascular disorders and the progression of certain cancers.
